Water Reflection Dance Ensemble - repeatedly winning the CCA Outstanding Performing Arts Stabilization Fund, and being selected as one of the Outstanding Performing Groups of New Taipei City. East, A Woman Shifting On Time Axis... combines poetics, female consciousness and a certain oriental touch. Tan explore norms that Chinese traditional teachings have imposed on eastern women. The dancers wear three-inch golden lotus shoes, which act as symbols of how the roles of eastern women shift and transform through time. **** (rated by La Provence, and sold out in Avignon Off Festival 2012). About Water Reflection Dance Ensemble

Since 2001, the Water Reflection Dance Ensemble has received critical acclaim for its innovative works and was nominated as one of the ten most outstanding performing arts groups in 2004 by the Taishin Arts Award Committee. In 2005, Water Reflection was selected to receive funding from the Council for Cultural Affairs. 
In addition to creating a unique identity as a modern dance company, Water Reflection engages in training new professional dancers, collaborating with artists from other fields, and organizing dance classes and events for various communities and schools. While constantly striving to achieve a higher artistic vision, Water Reflection also hopes to bring dance into the lives of the general public.
