Splendour - when Western Baroque meets Taiwanese folk songs. The Baroque Camerata from Taiwan was founded in 2004 and all members are professional musicians. They often play Baroque and early classical music. Famous musicians, both foreign and local, have been invited as guest players. Since 2006, the Baroque Camerata has been the resident orchestra at National Sun Yat-sen University, consistently fostering promising musicians. Regular performances are scheduled in order to promote the performing arts and spread this lovely music to both urban and rural areas.

 

 

About Baroque Camerata   

The Baroque Camerata was founded in 2004 and all members are students and teachers from the Music Dept. of National Sun Yat-sen University. They often play Baroque and early Classical music. At present, there are nearly 18 members; including one conductor, one harpsichord player and 16 string players. Famous musicians, both foreign and local, have been invited as guest players. Since 2006, the Baroque Camerata has been the resident orchestra at NSYSU, consistently fostering promising musicians. Regular performances are scheduled in order to promote the performing arts and spread this lovely music to both urban and rural areas.
