Amis Liyar Percussion Group, the percussion group from Amis tribe in Taiwan has made a major impact on international percussion music again and again through Taiwan indigenous people’s unique bamboo bell, Jew’s harp and nose flute, which gives the audience unique encounter from western percussion.  Along with O-Kai Singers, A Cappella from Atayal tribe, adapting indigenous traditional melody to music performance of modern and moving harmony. A mash-up of indigenous traditional melody and jazz  music makes not only a light-hearted rhyme but a dream journey of beautiful Taiwan.

AMIS Liyar Percussion & AMIS Kakeng Musical Group is the most high-profiled indigenous peoples’ symphony in Taiwan. Its 5-year experience of visiting tribes to search for the traditional making methods of Amis music instruments and distinguish feature of the intonation, makes precise reproduction of Amis bamboo instruments and lost melody from ancient tribes. Playing long with an orchestra, its performance has diverse and imaginative effect on western music lately.
